Deck Overhaul with Retaining Wall in Acworth by Kirchner Customs
The Wild Indigo project in Acworth had a unique challenge: the homeowner needed to overhaul their existing deck and create an underdeck space that could function as a workshop. Kirchner Customs designed a solution that included a complete deck rebuild, with a new structural retaining wall supporting the deck posts, ensuring stability while maximizing space below.
We achieved a clean, modern aesthetic by utilizing premium pressure-treated lumber and Deckorators railings while adding Simpson Outdoor Accents for decorative detail on the posts. The underdeck space was transformed into a dry, usable workshop, giving the homeowner an organized, protected area for tools and equipment. The final result is a functional, durable outdoor space that perfectly balances work and relaxation.
